For someone who has a sweet tooth like me, Brussels is a dream destination. What with all the Belgian chocolates and Belgian waffles that are being sold around town! I know, I know, sugar is the devil but that day in Brussels, I had a taste of sinful treats and I left without any regrets.
I was in Brussels for less than 24 hours. I hopped on the Eurostar train that travelled from London to France to Belgium. It was my gift to myself for finishing my MBA final paper. It was also my 12th new country to visit within 12 months. Life is good and God is great!
I rode the hop-on, hop-off bus and got to see the Grand Palace, Manneken Pis, the Atomium, The Basilica of the Sacred Heart, and all the other key landmarks in Brussels. I traveled alone and it was definitely one of those “me-time” moments I would cherish for a lifetime!
I tried to create a video as a travel tradition and take lots of pictures but it was so difficult to take ‘selfies’ so please bear with this–
