LONDON PRIDE PARADE 2013

CELEBRATE DIVERSITY

When I posted my London Pride Parade album on my Facebook account, it got so many likes that rivalled my travel albums’ average number of likes.

I wrote: All out for reaching out, respect, and acceptance.

I guess my friends also feel strongly about this issue.

There are billions of people on this planet. All with different beliefs and practices. We don’t have one religion. We don’t speak just one language. But I guess each one knows how to love and wants to feel loved too. And that, we should all learn to acknowledge and deal with.

I love all of my LGBT friends. I feel for them too. They are caught in a lot of emotional, physical, and psychological dilemmas. They are struggling with their being and their faith. It’s hard enough to be in that situation. Imagine yourself in their shoes. What if the people around you don’t try to understand you? What more if these people condemn you as if they don’t sin themselves?

I’d like to believe that instead of imposing one’s belief on others, people can reach out in ways that do not harm. In ways that do not malign other people. We can all live in harmony and help one another find peace and happiness within.
