SUNNIEST PLACE IN ENGLAND
I’ve blogged about our pseudo-moms here in the UK before. We visited them in East Grinstead and they took us to Hastings and Brighton. We visited them again the other week. This time around, they took us to Eastbourne Pier.
Eastbourne is a seaside resort situated in East Sussex, on the South coast of England. It’s located right behind Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in Great Britain. According to Wiki, it’s sheltered position helped it gain its title as the “sunniest place in England“.
Hard to believe though because when we went there, it was still very chilly! The winds were so strong that I still had to wear a thick shawl on top of my leather jacket.
As with all the other piers we saw in the UK, Eastbourne showcased a clean shore line with brave souls attempting to swim, kayak, or even surf amidst the chilly weather. It also had a game area and a town plaza along the pier. It looks very much like the piers in Brighton and Devon but with less colorful lights.
It’s always nice to spend some downtime with family. Especially when you have aunties who go out of their way to cook sumptuous meals for you, shop for you, and give you chocolates, cooking ingredients, accessories, and even lingerie! Hahaha crazy! 🙂
We love our Aunties C, T, and C! 🙂
Til our next trip,
