OFF THE BEATEN PATH
So when the dear bf (DBF) told me that he’s going to date me in Germany, my smile went from ear to ear! 😀
Schwarzwald is German for black forest. It was called such because of the dense growth of conifers that blocked out most of the light in the area.
I never knew Germany was such a great date place until I saw this:
The tall trees enveloped the serene lake of Schwarzwald. We rented a boat and sailed across the lake. The experience was so sweet and relaxing that it deserves a spot in my top 3 “what to do on a date” list!
DBF and I took turns in navigating the boat. We took a hundred of pictures and a funny video to capture the moment. I am so blessed to be given a partner who is also vain enough to agree and take lots of pictures with me. Most guys just give way because their girlfriends insist. But my boyfriend needs no insistent prodding. He will willingly take or even pose for the picture. Maarte rin naman kasi! 🙂 [Edit: DBF insists that he was not like this until he met me. I rubbed it off on him, he claims.]
We found our doppelgängers in Germany! When we headed back to Switzerland, we passed by this beautiful flower garden. I thought out loud that I wish I could take a picture with that as a backdrop. DBF suddenly took a u-turn and drove into the fields. He stopped the car so I could get my wish! Perfect gesture to cap our date! 🙂
