K-PALETTE

PET PEEVE
One of my pet peeves as a makeup artist is badly-shaped eyebrows. I don’t really like them too thin. I also don’t want them the shape of McDonald’s golden arches because they make the eyes droop. I want them thick but groomed and with a slightly pointed break.

When I started my career in makeup, I was taught to use a thin angled brush to apply matte brown eyeshadow when filling-in the brows. There are some artists though who use cake pots. Some, gel pots.

A few years ago, I discovered K-Palette liquid liners. I heard the brand is number 1 in Japan so I ordered online. I was so impressed with its performance that I ditched my other eyebrow products for it. The K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow Liner performed extremely well especially on brides that needed to look stunning for an entire day! It’s water resistant and smudge-proof. It also uses a translucent ink to avoid “overdarkened” eyebrows.

K-PALETTE
Up to this day, I swear by the K-Palette brand. You could just imagine my joy when I found out that it is now available in the country. I need not order online anymore! K-Palette is now being exclusively distributed by Beauty Bar.

Thanks to my friend Kim for introducing me to K-Palette distributor Cheryl, I got my free eyebrow and eyeliner loot a week ago!

So now, I’m gonna show you a quick video on how I use my favorite K-Palette Long Lasting 2-way Eyebrow liner. It’s my fave coz it has 2 ends: a liquid liner fine tip to fill-in the gaps of the brow (which you can also use to line your lids!!!) and a smudge tip with powder for blending (and it can also double as an eyeshadow).

Please don’t laugh at this amateur video hahahaha! I didn’t have any makeup on so pardon the gross eyebags, lines, and blemishes. 🙂

*Edit: I said I start “inwards” when I meant “start inside but going outward”. 🙂

To show you the difference (with vs. without K-Palette), I asked my colleague May to be my lab rat. 🙂

I used two K-Palette products on her: K-Palette Long Lasting 2-Way Eyebrow Liner [PHP 1,050, USD 25] for filling in her brows and K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner [PHP 895, USD 21] for lining her eyelids.

PHOTOSHOOT
I had a shoot that day with model Sammy and used the K-Palette liners on her too. Let me share with you some photos I personally took and posted on my Instagram: @denisecongco #themakeupden.

The first lay-out was inspired by haunting book Fifty Shades of Grey. 😉
