Hosiery [Hou’-ziye-ri], just like its pronunciation, is a little bit tricky. They say only those who have sexy legs can sport it. Leg wear though can provide that oomph and mystique to a look in an instant when styled properly, even when your legs are short and stubby. 🙂

In my opinion, you can’t wear sexy hosiery if you don’t have the personality to carry it. Although some may argue that the mere donning of a pair of intricately designed and delicate legwear will give you that much needed confidence boost. Whichever is right, one cannot argue with the fact that the latest designs of Manila Bay Hosiery Mills are so chic, it can make even the most conservative of nuns buy one! 🙂

Manila Bay Hosiery Mills, in its attempt to cater to the varying tastes of Filipino women, commissioned 2 designers to create patterns for their brand Leg Love.

The multi-hyphenate It girl Bianca‘s mission was to produce designs that will make women unleash their sexy and naughty alter-egos. Her collection was reminiscent of old Holywood glamour. She made each her own by putting a printed kiss mark on the lower right butt cheek area of each piece. I thought it was a playful and genius branding idea! Ribbons, lace patterns and studs were used to add illusion of longer, curvier and more toned legs and body. Bianca suggests that to amp your style with her Leg Love Couture designs, one must wear them with no less than killer heels and bold red lipstick.

Paolo Cabahug is one of the winners of the Look of Style awards. In his collection, Paolo played with shapes. His designs, also available in funky bold colors, can be worn with just a favorite worn-out tee or a chic cardigan. Paolo’s muse was model Divine Lee who came out of the runway in a stunning red number.

But they are ultra-comfy, environment-friendly and fashion forward. Designer Ferdi Salvador designed patterns for Elements‘ cushion to the feet.

LEG LOVE and ELEMENTS are available in SM Department Stores and selected Watsons Your Personal Stores nationwide.
