I have the Guttierez-Abilas to thank for this trip coz they welcomed me like I am their own. Tita Baby, I love you and am so humbled by you. You’re a great mom and your kids are so proud of you! To my piccolo orso Ivan and bella Stephanie, I will miss struggling to converse with you guys in Italian. Thank you for the patience! :)
I have a bajillion photos (of myself, sorry) to share with you coz Rome is just so picturesque. The Romans really used to rule the world! Used the S95, iphone, and dear Russielle’s iPad to capture the beauty of Rome. I was missing RV’s Sony camera the entire time though coz that gadget takes the most amazing photos!
When in Rome…
[Visit The Colosseo]
[Let the sunshine in!]
[Ask strangers to take a video, not just a photo, of you at The Vatican]
[Marvel at the grandness of The Venezia]
[Wish for love and light at the Fontana di Trevi]
[Eat at a fancy gelateria; try pistache and nutella flavors!]
[Stroll around the famous piazzas]
[Have appertivos with your Vice Consul friend! Hahaha hi, Atty. Malang! ]
[Pray at the Pantheon]
What’s so nice about travelling alone is that you just allow yourself to get lost, meet random people, and create your own experience along the way.
I know I don’t need pictures to remember Rome. Every moment is now carved in my soul for keeps. It’s just nice to look at something when you relive the experience.
Next stop, Milan!
